There is nothing quite like having a good addiction!
Carol Maher collects and enjoys the charming Autumn Floral Pattern known as Autumn Leaf which was sold by the
Jewel Shopping service. Autumn leaf dinnerware appeared in 1936. Jewel ads at the time promoted this as the first dinnerware ever produced by Hall China and expounded on its beauty, however Hall was producing dinnerware almost 30 years earlier.

Dori McCrane's Worlds Fair Teapot
A Most Beautiful Rare collectible, Cobalt blue with the 1939 Gold World's Fair Decoration
Dori's Tea Pot is a real prize. The fair ran from 1939 to 1940 in New York and has the World's Fair back stamp "A GENUINE HALL TEAPOT - MADE IN U.S.A. - SOLD EXCLUSIVELY AT THE NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR - 1940" will appear on the bottom of some cobalt Star teapots. Either date may be found and the World's Fair trylon and perisphere will be found on the side of these cobalt teapots. The 1939 date is the hardest to find, but both of these teapots are unusual.
Current Book Value is at least $750 - $950 US Dollars
Now don't try and tell me this Worlds fair Teapot isn't just the coolest thing!
By the way that's my mom at age 5, at the same New York Worlds Fair of 1939 now how cool is that!
More then half the fun of collecting is in the hunt looking around for those rare pieces!
Here's a great example from Carol's collection. The 25th Anniversary Hall China Autumn Leaf dinnerware 16 Pc. Starter Set New in the box never been used.

Hall China Autumn Leaf Dinnerware
You Got to Love that Autumn Leaf
Just a little piece of my collection. Carol L. Maher, Cartersville GA.
Hall's dinnerware pattern "Jewel Tea" or Autumn Leaf is extremely collectible. Autumn Leaf was distributed as a premium by the Jewel Tea Company.
The Autumn Leaf pattern was first produced in the 1930's and was discontinued in 1976. New Autumn Leaf pieces have been produced in limited editions and are currently available from the National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club and China Specialties Inc., who distributes limited edition collectibles in patterns such as Autumn Leaf, Silhouette (Taverne), Red Poppy, Orange Poppy, Blue Blossom, Crocus and other patterns from Hall China. Also Hot-Oven (Harker) china rolling pins, china spoons, forks, and cake servers. Some items are made by Hall and others are made overseas.
China Specialties Automobile is a nice collectible. And you just can't resist Corky Pig because he is Sooo cute. Corky is a more recent addition to the China Specialties line of modern Autumn Leaf collectibles. Be sure to check out the China Specialties web site at the the link listed below.
